Welcome March

colour

February kept me quiet and hunkered. I slept, I read, I lived in a space largely characterized by shades of grey. But slowly I feel myself re-awakening, drawn to bolder colours, creative ideas and inspiration.

I do not yet feel the physical energy to pursue anything at full strength, but am happy to let things unfold gently - sustainably. Slowly the source of my stillness shifts from a space of fatigue and disenchantment to a space of wonder and trust.

Welcome March.

There are Spring violets under the snow."

It Rained Love

raining Love, 10x10 on canvas

(still deciding if it's in progress or not)

And through the murky skies

It rained Love.

Mind Race (or Playing with Poetry)

A spectator on the sidelines

I watch.

While Decision waits at the finish line

Buoyancy and Apprehension

jostle for position with Reason,

leaving All-knowing Intuition far behind the peloton.

A Love Story for You

When I saw this video on Liz' blog a few days ago I knew I'd be putting it up here today.

I'd never heard of StoryCorps, an oral history project whose mission is to record, share and preserve life stories. From their Website:

The heart of StoryCorps is the conversation between two people who are important to each other: a son asking his mother about her childhood, an immigrant telling his friend about coming to America, or a couple reminiscing on their 50th wedding anniversary. By helping people to connect, and to talk about the questions that matter, the StoryCorps experience is powerful and sometimes even life-changing.

What a gift.

This story made me weep and restored hope that true Love is not just a figment of our imagination or the making of a good movie. This is the real, beautiful deal.

Happy Love Day to you and yours.
