Today with lumped throat and shoulders up around my ears, oh, how I wish I knew-- Today is all roar and rush and tightness. But tomorrow? tomorrow I will rediscover the power of breath, of stillness, of attention, of delight.
It is so easy to forget all that I know when I am in the thick of it, when I am reacting, responding, attending... I always wonder why it is so hard remember all that I know.
And then, when I remember, and peace floods in, I shake my head and tell myself I won't forget again (but it seems I always do).

Unexpectedly had family visiting this weekend so I spent most of today knitting on the couch with three sleepy wiener dogs. Delicious.
