On Discomfort and Success...

"... the number one requirement for success is the willingness to be uncomfortable. Pretty soon, what now feels weird will begin to seem quite normal."

~ Barbara Stanny, Overcoming Underearning

What would you be willing to temporarily risk comfort for?

Wow, I have never thought about what I would discomfort myself for. I have never thought of creativity as being discomforting, but rather comforting. I think the important word from that quote is "willingness." Willingness doesn't necessarily mean will... it's more conditional. I think most people are willing to risk anything for the sake of that 50/50 chance that it might just be fine after all.

Great quote. Really ringing true for me right now.

Got to meet Kelly briefly. Hopefully we'll get to meet again soon.

Hugs,
Lily
